Dr. Sarita Lyons Dr. Sarita Lyons affectionately called “Dr. Sarita” is the wife of Mark Lyons and the mother of Malachi, Sophia, Olivia and Gabriella. Dr. Lyons is a Deacon and she is on staff full time as the Director of Community Life and Women’s Ministry at Epiphany Fellowship Church in Philadelphia, PA. In this role, she is responsible for Epiphany’s Life Groups, Biblical Counseling Ministry, Covenant Community, New Member Assimilation, Communion, Baptism, Community Events, and SALT Women’s Ministry.
Dr. Lyons is a women’s Bible teacher, speaker, and Christ-centered psychotherapist who maintained a private practice in Philadelphia from 2011-2018 before joining Epiphany’s staff. She has also worked as an adjunct professor at Drexel University’s Medical School and as a therapist in numerous outpatient and inpatient psychiatric treatment centers.
Dr. Lyons is passionate about the emotional and spiritual health of the Church, making disciples, and developing women leaders and women Bible teachers in the local Church. She is a highly sought after conference speaker and trainer for churches, organizations and various ministries around the country, and she is the founder and CEO of Uplifting People Services, Inc.
Dr. Lyons earned a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism from Florida A&M University, a M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical and Forensic Psychology from Drexel University, and a J.D. from Villanova University School of Law.
Dr. Lyons considers herself a city girl with a country heart. She loves to read, cook, swim, travel, collect perfume, experience fine dining, and spend time with family and friends.
